  • The following Macon Moment in History was taken from the June 11, 1998 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
    The railroad bridge over Bourke Street was being removed by city crews. Many trucks and campers have struck the bridge due to it’s 9 foot seven inch height.
    Jacque Martie, daughter of Jerry and Pat Martie of Macon was named to the Heart of America All Conference Team. Martie had just completed her Junior year at Central Methodist College in Fayette.
    Robert “Bob” Ralston of Macon won $500 as part of the Missouri Lottery 125th Fun and Fortune game.
    Lesley Baker, daughter of Reggie and Debbie Baker and Heather Shott, daughter of Dean and Mary Shott have been accepted to attend William Jewell College in Liberty.
