  • The investigation of Nichols and Lewis continues.
    Officers are looking for a woman who lives on Hwy 63 between Moberly and Macon. It was reported that the two suspects had contacted this woman. One whom had a child with her. Officers would appreciate this woman call either the Moberly Police Department, the Randolph County Sheriff's Department or Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
    Jeffrey Jay Nichols, 22, and Christopher Demond Lewis III, 18, were arrested on April 1 and were charged in the murder of the 92-year-old woman. The woman, who has been identified as Carmelita L. Kaser of Moberly, is a victim who died of an apparent stab wound. Officials are waiting for autopsy results at this time.
