  • The following Macon Moments in History were taken from the March 29, 1965 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
    A tetanus shot clinic was  held with over 720 people getting a shot. The clinic was sponsored by the County Health Dept.
    Property transactions: Cleo Wiggans of Atlanta had purchased the home of Howard Tedford on Duff Street.
    Sheriff and Mrs. Claud Nuhn had a telephone call from their son, Airman First Class Gary Nuhn of Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage, Alaska.
    The Macon Jaycees took on some members of the Kansas City Chiefs football team in a game of basketball. Buck Buchanan lead the Chiefs with 45 points. For the Jaycees Bob Wilhite had 18, Porter Baldwin 12, Gary Ferguson 11, Jack Briggs 8, Kenneth Murr 6, Urah Vardell 5, Dick McCown, 4, Jack Hearold and Melvin Smith 2 each.
