  • Margaret Jane Twyman, age 75, of Edina, passed away Jan. 31, 2013.
    Preceded in death by parents, James Denton & Catherine Ann (Hogan) Purdy; special aunt & uncle, Marie & Kenneth Farmer, who raised Jane from the age of 12; and daughter- in-law, Linda. Survived by loving husband of 52 years, James Eugene Twyman; children, Todd Andrew (Karen), James Frederick, Lisa Marie Rodriguez, Karen Louise (Mark) Rissmiller, Kenneth Gerard (Jennifer); 9 grandchildren, Angela, Alissa, Katherine, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Nicolas, Celestina, Ava, Ashlyn; great-granddaughter, Marilyn; sisters, Dena Kay Russell, Jacqueline Ann (Joseph) McGrane; stepsister, Sharon (Gary) Faleide; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
    Jane was born in Macon, MO, and graduated from Macon High School in 1956. She graduated in 1959 as a Registered Nurse from St. Mary Hospital School of Nursing in Quincy, IL. Jane worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at the Edina Care Center. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace, where she was very active; member and past president of Edina Federated Women's Club and member and president of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Cornerstone or VEAP in Margaret Jane Twyman's name. Interment Fort Snelling Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Wednesday, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the Church of Our Lady of Grace, 5071 Eden Ave., Edina.
