Mary Elizabeth Jenkins, 98, of Macon, MO, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012, at Macon Health Care Center in Macon.
Mary was born on January 17, 1914, in Bevier, MO, the daughter of John and Tursey (Dawson) Winkler. She was united in marriage to Raymond Royer and then later married Loren Eldon Jenkins, both preceded her in death. Mary was a horse lover, a Nurse for 35 years, raised Yorkies puppies, and enjoyed spending time with family.
She is survived by her two sons, Eldon Jenkins and wife, Mary Ann of Macon, Odell Jenkins and wife, Sandy of Dearing, KS, daughter-in-law, Mary Royer of Belton, MO; grandchildren, David Jenkins and wife, Julee of Bevier, MO, Eldonna Wieberg and husband, Tom of Macon, MO, Jerri Smith and husband, Gale of Kirksville, MO, Debbie Need and husband, John of the Kansas City area, Terri DeWeese of the Kansas City area, Jeff Royer and wife, Susie of Carthage, MO, Joe Royer of Joplin, MO; six step-grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son, John Royer, one brother, John Winkler, one sister, Myrtle Dye and two grandchildren, Diane Hultz and Mike Royer.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 9, 2012, at 1:00 pm at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Macon with Brother Clark Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery north of Bevier. Visitation will be Thursday evening, November 8, 2012, from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund or to the Enon Cemetery.
