After a come-from-behind sweep of Monroe City, the Macon Tigerettes looked to do well against new CCC foe Brookfield.
Things didn’t so well for the JV team as they were dropped by Brookfield 7-1.
Jordan Olinger took the loss for Macon, going two innings, allowing six runs, one earned, on two hits, walking three and striking out one. Sydney Brockman pitched two innings of relief, allowing a run on a hit, walking five and striking out three.
Nicole Lucas had two singles. Emma McDowell had a hit and a run scored, and a single each for Lauren Arnold and Allie Smoot.
The JV Tigerettes drop to 2-2 overall.
Macon had many of the same hitting struggles in the varsity game, in which Brookfield claimed a 4-2 victory.
Jordan Simons pitched five innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits including a fourth-inning lead-off  homer by Lady Dog heavy-hitter Ashlyn Cupp. Simons walked none and struck out four.
Shelby Ziebarth pitched two innings, allowing an earned run on a hit, walking one and striking out two.
Valerie Schmidt had a hit in the first, but was thrown out trying to steal.
Chelsea Hayden went 1-4. Jessa Glover was 2-3, and Rachelle Butner was 2-3 with a double.
The varsity Tigerettes drop to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the Clarence Cannon Conference.
Macon will have to wait until next Thursday to play their next games, which will be down in Louisiana against the Lady Bulldogs.
Gametime is set for 5 p.m.
