Mustangs "Busted," Bevier splits with Linn County

Coming off a split with Green City, the Bevier Wildcats looked to break out at home against the Linn County Mustangs.
In the softball games, the bats erupted again, and a freshman hurler pitched well as the Lady Cats beat Linn County by the count of 12-2.
Memphis Buster did well for Bevier, going all six innings, allowing two runs on two hits, walking five and striking out six.
Dominica Prokup was 2-3 with a walk, three stolen bases and two runs scored. Valle Wilson was 4-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Cheyenne Shelmadine was 1-4 with a triple and an RBI. Lynnsey Keen went 2-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Sydney Couch was 2-2 with a run scored. Latisha Teter was 1-2 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored.
Shelby Cross was 0-1, but had a walk and an RBI. Drayse Lineberry went 1-1.
Memphis Buster went 0-2. Beth Ashenfelter was 1-2 and a double, stolen base and a run scored.
Sierra Whitley was 1-1. Shiloh Wilson was 0-1 with a walk, stolen base and a run scored. Christina Templeton was 0-0 with a walk.
The Lady Cats now stand at 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the TCC.
The Wildcat men werent as fortunate as Linn Co. took a 7-0 win.
Bevier will next travel to La Plata Thursday in a non-TCC match-up.
