A trip to Columbia and a chance to play at Mizzou Arena was a big opportunity for the Macon Tigers.
But their opponents, the Salisbury Panthers, had other ideas.
Salisbury has not lost this season, and has kept its No. 1 ranking the whole year.
The Panthers got off to a fast start, scoring the games’ first 10 points.
Macon would get back into the game later on, and would trail by four, 19-15, after a period.
Salisbury would turn it on from their, draining shots and extending their lead. The Panthers would go on for a 66-43 win over Macon.
Tyrone Walker led the Tigers with 14 points. He also grabbed eight boards.
Jakeb Linear followed with nine points. Trey Kothe scored six points.
Trapper Troy and Kendall Kothe each scored four points.
Craig Smith and Dylan Perrin each added three points.
The Tigers dropped to 4-11 overall.
Macon hosted Clark County Tuesday night and got a sweep.
The Tigers will host Highland Friday night for Courtwarming.
