Bevier basketball keeps rolling, pounds Keytesville

After claiming two pieces of hardware in the Tourney last week, the Bevier teams returned for more Monday night, when they went back to Keytesville for a rumble with the Tigers.
In the girls game, the Lady Cats would have four players score in double-figures, as Bevier built on their 3rd place finish with a 65-37 beating of the Lady Tigers.
Valle Wilson led the charge for Bevier, scoring 23 points, grabbing six rebounds with two assists and four steals.
Dominica Prokup scored 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Cheyenne Shelmadine had 12 points and 13 boards with a steal.
Beth Ashenfelter scored 10 points with three boards and six assists. Tayler   Hedworth tallied two points, 13 rebounds and an assist. Alex Fesler added two points and five boards.
The Lady Cats improve to 11-6 overall (4-0 TCC).
For the Wildcat men, they were looking for their second straight win over the Tigers. Bevier would use a 29-point third period to help put themselves past Keytesville, once again, by the count of 68-42.
Brett Peukert led the Wildcat attack with 20 points. McKenzey Pipes followed with 16 points and five assists.
Aaron Peter scored 12 points, with six rebounds and three steals.
Twin brother Andrew had eight points with seven rebounds and three steals. Jesse Ashenfelter had six points and nine boards.
Jean Fiquet tallied four points, and Seth Shurvington added two points and three steals.
The Wildcats improve to 6-10 overall (2-2 TCC) and have won five of their last six games.
Bevier will be back in action Thursday night at home with a big Tri-County battle against the Mustangs of Linn County.
