Lady Cats get by Novinger

Coming off an upset by the rival La Plata Lady Dogs, the Bevier Lady Cats softball looked to get back on track Friday against Novinger.
The Lady Cats scored in the first and second innings, but Novinger scored in the fourth to cut it to 2-1.     Bevier would hang on for a win by that same score.
Memphis Buster was the winning pitcher, going all seven innings, allowing the one run on five hits, walking three and hitting one batter.
Dominica Peokup went 2-4 with a stolen base and a run scored. Valle Wilson was 1-2 with two walks.
Cheyenne Shelmadine went 2-3 with a stolen base, walk and an RBI. Lynnsey Keen was 0-4 but had two walks.
Sylvanna Couch was 1-4 with an RBI. Latisha Teter was 0-1 with two walks.
Beth Ashenfelter was 1-3 with a double, walk and a run scored. Christina       Templeton was 0-1 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
The Lady Cats improve to 3-1 overall and are 3-0 in the Tri-County Conference.
Bevier will travel north to Atlanta Friday evening for a showdown with the TCC-rival Hornets.
Bevier, after Friday, will head up to Shelbyville      Saturday to take part in the North   Shelby Softball Tournament.
Their first game will be at 10:30 a.m. against the Paris Lady Coyotes. Their next game will be either at 12 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.
