With the departure of ace Katelyn Tolle, you would think that the Bevier Lady Cats would slow down just a little bit.
Think again!
The Lady Cats looked just as good as last year as they rolled past Green City Thursday, 11-1, in five           innings.
Cheyenne Shelmadine pitched all five innings, allowing the one run on two hits, walking four and striking out five Lady Gophers.
Dominica Prokup was 1-3 with two stolen bases, a walk and two runs scored. Valle Wilson was 1-3 with a stolen base, RBI and a run scored.
Cheyenne Shelmadine was 2-4 with a double and two RBIs. Lynnsey Keen was 1-4 with a double, RBI and a run scored.
Sydney Couch had a great game, going 3-3 with three triples, three RBIs and three runs scored.
Latisha Teter was 1-1 with two stolen bases, a walk, a run scored, and a hit-by-pitch.
Christina Templeton was 0-1 with a walk, a run scored and a hit-by-pitch.
Memphis Buster was 0-2, but scored and run and was hit by a pitch.
Beth Ashenfelter was 2-3 with a triple, three RBIs and a run scored.
The Bevier Lady Cats move to 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Tri-County Conference.
The Wildcat men were also in action, but fell to the Gophers by the count of 10-4.
The Bevier squads will be in action tonight when they host a doubleheader against the TCC rival Linn County Mustangs and Lady        Mustangs.
