Deloris S. Gravitt, 68, of Macon, formerly of Moberly, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon. She had been in failing health. She was born March 7, 1942 in Yates, Mo. to Andy and Maude (Schofield) McDonald. Deloris retired from ConAgra in 2006 and had worked for Tiffany's Home Service prior to getting sick. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Macon. Survivors include her children, Gerald "Jerry" Gravitt of Hastings, Neb, Delanda "Kay" Evans and husband, Bud, of Bevier, Lewis Gravitt and wife, Maudie, of Macon, Eddie Gravitt of Macon, Patricia Bain and husband, Michael, of Pine Bluff, Ark., Deloris' husband, Lutillis Gravitt, of Macon, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sisters, Jackie Darras of Galveston, Texas, Goldie Avery and husband, Don, of Centralia, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters. Deloris enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and taking her grandchildren fishing. Services will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at Cater Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m. at Cater Funeral Home Chapel.
