Dorothy Bell Watson, 88, of Callao, MO, passed away, Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon.
Dorothy was born on September 13, 1921, in Macon County the daughter of Hezekiah and Rachel Marcum Wright. She was united in marriage to Hershel Finley Watson on March 15, 1939. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, baking, animals and especially her family.
Dorothy is survived by three sons, Randall Watson and his wife Kay of Bevier, Ronald Watson and his wife Beverly of Atlanta, MO, Rickey Watson and his wife Linda of Callao, MO, four daughters, Rebecca Pike and her husband Frank of Elmer, MO, Rubey Pope of Marceline, MO, Rosezella Davis and her husband Larry of Atlanta, and Rena Brown and her husband Denny of Excello, MO, fifteen grandchildren, Randy Watson, Dale Pike, Steven Pike, Gayla Jones, Henry Doenges, Pamela Yarbrough, Doug Doenges, Candice Lozano, Billie Coe, Amanda Pope, Kayla Burkhardt, Nathan Shearer, Dena Applebury, Fredrick Hodgenson, and Lucinda Watson, and thirty-two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on January 5, 1987, one sister, Lillie Day, and one half brother, Lester Johnson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Burial will be in the New Chariton Cemetery north of Callao. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Saturday. The family suggests memorials to the New Chariton Cemetery.
