Mary Jane Kearns, age 95, of Macon, MO, formerly of Callao, MO, passed away, on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, MO.
Jane was born on May 4, 1914 in New Cambria, MO, the daughter of John Logan and Maud Caroline Clark Watson. She was united in marriage to Victor Loyce Kearns on November 4, 1941 in Liberty, MO. He preceded her in death. Jane was a member of the Callao Christian Church and a charter member of the American Legion Auxillary in Callao, and also a member of the Eastern Star. She loved God, her church, her friends, the Callao community, and especially her family.
Jane is survived by two daughters, Norma Jean Kearns Kroos of Lincoln, MO, and Judith Lynn Kearns Johnson of Kansa City, MO, one son, Patrick Loyce Kearns of St. Joseph, MO, two step-sons; Russell Kearns of Montana and Victor Royce Kearns Jr. of Texas, and many special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, one sister, Helen Cross of Moberly, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children, Vicki Sue Kearns and John Lester Kearns, one grandson, Jeffry William Kroos, two sisters, Hester Bell Bittiker and Guneyth Mae Gordon, and two brothers, Logan Jr. Watson and Donald Edward Watson and an infant brother, Lester Watson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Callao Christian Church with Bro. Ken Mantle officiating. Burial will be in the Howard Cemetery north of Callao. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the church in Callao. The family suggests memorials to the Howard Cemetery.
