Macon Moment in History - Feb. 3, 1971

The following Macon Moment in History were taken from the Feb. 3,1971 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.

Callao C-5 School District will have a special school levy on Feb. 10, 1971.

Officers of the Macon County Park Board were re-elected. F.M. Sagaser is chairman, William Snodgrass is vice-chairman, Bob Wilson is secretary, Ernest Clarkson and Leland Bodystun are members. Projects approved for the year were building a combination pole show barn and shelter house and a graveled parking lot.

The MHS boys basketball team fell to Milan 79-78. Tom Mooneyham led the way  with 23. Kit Lisauskas had 20,  Kerry Lisauskas had 12, and Larry DeSpain had 11 rounding out the double digit scoring. Both Lisauskases, DeSpain, David Shoush and Steve Danner fouled out of the contest which was officiated by Ken Woolridge and Bill Litrell.
