Chester Bross Construction is getting work done at the intersection of Business 36 and Highway 36 when the rains hold off. Travelers are asked to reroute their destination from Business 36 east. The highway project is 60 percent complete from Shelbina to Macon. According to Missouri Department of Transportation, all four lanes are to be open from Hannibal to Macon by the end of 2009. The 22-mile section from Shelbina to Macon costs $32 million. The total cost for the four-lane project from Hannibal to Macon is $72.4 million.
