Santa received many hugs Wednesday at the annual Children’s Christmas Party sponsored by the Macon Jaycees and Macon Women of Today. Selected Macon R-I Elementary School children were treated to a snack, made a Christmas ornament and enjoyed roller skating during the party held at the Macon Skate Center. Following a pizza supper, Santa arrived to hand out gifts and visit with the children. Money for the party was raised from contributions from local businesses and individuals through the Jaycee’s annual decal sales. Katie Lampkin served as the Jaycee’s project chairman. According to Nancy Pagett, Women of Today chairman, approximately 30 children attended Wednesday’s party.
