On Monday a bank robbery occurred in El Dorado Springs, a small community in southwest Missouri.
According to Jarrod D. Schiereck, El Dorado Chief of Police, the suspect is believed to have been involved in numerous other bank robberies in central Missouri including those in Rolla, Sedalia, Moberly and Chillicothe.
The suspect entered the Mid-Missouri Bank in El Dorado Springs at approximately 2:55 p.m., carrying a dark colored document case. He approached the teller window and displayed a black handgun demanding money. The drawers were locked. The suspect waited a short time without receiving any money. No one was injured in the incident.
The suspect left in a white mini-van bearing Missouri License #3MD220, heading eastbound on US Highway 54.
The suspect is described as approximately six feet tall weighing from 300-350 pounds, with brown hair and a brown mustache. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black sunglasses, blue denim long sleeve button-up shirt and blue jeans.
Chief Schiereck requests that anyone with information contact their local law enforcement agency.
