After having two games stolen away in Palmyra, and a savage beating by Salisbury in Columbia Sunday, the Macon Tiger teams were looking for a good showing Tuesday night against Clark County.
The Lady Indians would score the first points of the girls game, but junior sharp-shooter Trinity Rainey responded with a three-pointer to put Macon ahead.
The first period would go back and forth, and Clark would grab a 14-12 lead after eight minutes.
The Tigerettes would hit seven of eight foul shots in the second period, as Macon outscored Clark 12-7 to take a 24-21 halftime lead.
Alex Blodgett would come up big in the third period, scoring seven of Macon’s 17 third-period points, as the Tigerettes led41-26 heading to the fourth.
The Lady Indians would cut the lead to single-digits a couple of times in the fourth, but Macon would hit six of nine foul-shots to keep Clark at bay, giving the Tigerettes a big 55-45 victory.
Trinity Rainey led the Tigerettes with 15 points. Audrey Freeman followed with 14 points.
Alex Blodgett and Valerie Schmidt each scored 10 points. Paige Klocke tallied four points, and Kierstin Johnson added two points.
The Tigerettes improve to 6-10 overall (2-1 CCC).

Jakeb Linear led the Tigers with 20 points and five rebounds. Linear was also 5-6 from the foul line.
Kendall Kothe netted 12 points and 10 boards for a double-double, a rarity for Macon this season.
Trapper Troy scored 13 points and went 7-8 from the foul line. Craig Smith scored five points.
Tyrone Walker scored four points. Joey Turner had three points and six rebounds.
Trey Kothe tallied two points, and Tyler Shoemaker grabbed five rebounds.
