Macon County Town & Country Fair to begin July 6

After a year of preparation by local 4-H kids they will have an opportunity to show off their projects at the Macon County Town and Country Fair

MACON - The Macon County Town and Country Fair is to begin Sunday, July 6 at the Macon County Fairgrounds south of Macon.
On Monday, the Little Mr. and Miss Contest is to be held at 7 p.m. The location for the contest is to be held  at the fairgrounds this year. The Miss Macon County Pageant  has been cancelled this year.
At 5 p.m. on Tuesday the fashion show is to be held in the grandstands, followed by the 4-H Royalty Crowning at 5:30 p.m. The dog show is to be to begin at 6 p.m. in the show arena.
Poultry is to arrive and be checked in by 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday. The poultry show is to be held at 9 a.m. in a show arena. The horse show is to begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
A rabbit show is to be held in a show arena on Thursday at 9 a.m. A lead line and sheep show is to begin at 6 p.m. Thursday. Thursday night’s entertainment is to be announced.
On Friday, the dairy cattle show is to be held at 11 a.m.,  followed by a dairy goat and meat goat show at 11:30 a.m. A swine show is to be held at 6 p.m. All are to be held in a show arena. A youth exhibitor dance will be held from 10 p.m. to midnight Friday.
On Saturday, a baby show is to be held in the grandstands at 9 a.m. At 11 a.m. a Little Mr. and Miss Farmer Contest is to be held. At 3 p.m. children can participate in youth olympic games. A fair benefit dinner is to be held at 5 p.m. The livestock and ham sale is to be held at 7:30 p.m. in the show arena
Church services will be held Sunday at 10 a.m.
Shooting sports shotgun and a skeet contest is scheduled to be held Thursday, July 17 at the 63 Gun Club. On Saturday, July 19, at 7 a.m. a shooting sports contest will be held at the Bevier Range.
