MACON - The annual Canada Reunion, descendants of the late Joseph and Delia (Summers) Canada of Callao, was held Sunday, May 25 at the Macon County Fairgrounds. A picnic lunch was served at noon.
Attending out-of-state were Steve and Reba Cowin of Saginaw, Texas; Eric Canada of Dallas, Texas; Marlin and Lois Field of Hillsdale, Mich.; Edward and Sandy Canada of Parker, Kan.; Lori (Canada) Northern and Children, Peyton, Quinn and Hope of Parker, Kan.
Attending from Missouri were Donald and Carol Canada of Raymore; Lonny Foster, Ashley Brown, Cayden Berry and Tyler Foster of Bevier; Catherine Llewellyn of Macon; Richard and Lora Llewellyn of Macon; Ricky Llewellyn and daughter, Kendra of Macon; Harold and Susie (Canada) Brown and Bill of Macon; Leon and Karina Brown of Macon; Jennifer Brown and son, Brendan of Macon.
The afternoon was spent visiting, taking pictures, sharing photos and family history. New births since the last reunion were Blake Austin Head, Nov. 2, 2007, son of Jim and Kim Head of Bevier; Brendan Scott Roberts, Dec. 12, 2007, son of Jennifer Brown and Timmy Roberts of Macon; Tyler Allen Foster, April 4, 2008, son of Ashley Brown and Lonny Foster of Bevier. Relatives of Doris Stackhouse of Macon unable to attend were her daughter, Reba Cowin and her husband, Steve, her brother, Marlin Field and wife, Lois and her sister, Catherine Llewellyn.
Letters were received from Charles Sailor of DeKalb and Dorothy Ditmars of Lathrop who were also unable to attend. The next reunion will be held Summer 2009.
