Private First Class Travis Wayne Noyes, 18, of Macon, graduated from boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, Calif., Aug. 20. PFC Noyes earned immediate promotion due to his Eagle Scout ranking as a civilian. He is attending a military occupation specialty school in 29 Palms, Calif. for six weeks. PFC Noyes is the son of Bill and Kris Noyes of Macon, grandson of Wayne and Terri Noyes, Joe and Merlyn Amidei and Jane Cook-Noyes and great-grandson of Donald Noyes and Bob Ahlbom, all of Macon .
