Macon County Sheriff Robert D. Dawson announced the filing of formal charges against five individuals culminating from a week long investigation.
On Oct. 18, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity at a residence at 700 Morgan Street in Bevier. Officers requested a search warrant. While serving the search warrant, deputies seized items which constituted the components of a mobile Methamphetamine lab, also deputies noticed chemical burns in the interior of a vehicle of located on the property.
During the investigation officers discovered what appeared as a mobile meth lab had exploded in the vehicle, spraying the interior with chemicals. Officers discovered two people had been burned. The lab was later found disposed of on Sunset Drive in Macon.
During the course of the investigation deputies obtained information about two stolen vehicles located in the area. One located north of Bevier that had been stolen in Kirksville, and one located in Clarence stolen from Columbia which was recovered by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. The tires and wheels from the vehicle in Clarence had been removed and were recovered on a vehicle in Macon on Oct. 24.
Macon Prosecuting Attorney Joshua Meisner filed charges against the following:
Nicki L .Hill, age 31 of Shelbina – Manufacturing with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Bond $150,000 Cash or Surety.
Jacquelyn K. Amidei Harrington, age 32, of Bevier – Manufacturing With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Substance , Unlawful Use Of Drug Paraphernalia - Amphetamine/Methamphetamine ), Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana Unlawful Use Of Drug Paraphernalia Bond $160,000 Cash or Surety.
Two counts of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, Bond $9,000 Cash or Surety.
Brandon J. Levell, age 30 of Macon - Manufacturing with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Bond $150,000 Cash or Surety.
McKenzie Weber, age 24 of Macon – Receiving Stolen Property More than $500, Bond $9,000 Cash or Surety.
James R. Miller, age 33 of Columbia - 2 counts of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, Bond $9,000 Cash or Surety.
As of press time Thursday morning Hill, Harrington, Levell, and Miller all remain at large. Weber was arrested and posted bond on Oct. 24, 2011.
