Over the weekend, many discovered Christmas decorations missing from their yards, and from church Nativities in Bevier and Macon.
Macon County Sheriff Robert Dawson said a tip from someone who wanted to remain anonymous, gave a couple of his officers a tip about the crime. He said his officers recovered the five baby Jesus’ that were taken from their mangers along with other Christmas decorations that were stolen.
Items recovered besides Jesus statues were two pieces of fencing, a blow up Santa and Mrs. Claus, two donkey statues, a Mary statue, and six candy canes.
Arrested for misdemeanor stealing are Brandon Gaw, 18, of Macon, Hilary Voss, 17, of Bevier and a 15-year-old Bevier juvenile girl.
The adult suspects were processed at the Macon County Sheriffs Office and were released pending their court date. The juvenile was referred to the Macon County Juvenile Office.
