Three sisters formerly of Callao compiled a unique guide of New York City cupcake bakeries that will make any trip to the Big Apple memorable. A trip to New York City would not be complete without visiting Chelsea, Union Square, the East Village, NoHo, SoHo and the Lower East Side. The guide highlights bakeries in each of these areas.
Cupcakes have become th latest craze and these sisters, Nichelle Walters of Smithville, Nerissa Pinkston of Elmer and Nanette McLain of Queens, N.Y., review their favorite cupcake spots based on personal wanderings throughout New York City. The guide includes additional fun facts about attractions within walking distance of those special spots. It is the perfect size to tuck in a bag while sightseeing.
The three sisters have varying backgrounds - a social worker, a nurse and a teacher. The girls were raised on home cooking, family, and Sunday desserts, this book was shaped as a way to share time together even when miles apart. Their parents are Hiram and Bonnie McLain are longtime residents of Callao.
