Members and guests lined up last Saturday evening in the Expo Center at the Macon Co. Fairgrounds to dine with the Macon County Cattlemen’s Association as they raised money for their annual scholarship drive. There was a record attendance of 370 personnel. Missouri Cattlemen's Executive Director Jeff Windett was the guest speaker. Macon Co. Cattlemen who were recently deceased were honored: Bob Lowe, David Marino and Barry Ford. The fund-raiser grossed over $20,000 for scholarships. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be a current member of a Macon County 4-H Club, a Macon County FFA chapter, a Macon County Cattleman, junior Cattleman or have a parent, grandparent or spouse who is a current member.
