  • Damon Willow, 51, of Macon, passed away at his home on January 5, 2014.  He was born February 17, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to Bernard Jones and Katherine Woodcock Jones.
    He moved to the Macon area thirteen years ago.  Damon had obtained a degree in massage therapy from Arizona and in later years had been attending Moberly Area Community College working towards a degree in Social Work.   He was a member of the Ethel Lake Club and he loved to fish and camp.  Damon came to know the Lord and was baptized in the United Methodist Church in Macon, Missouri.  He was very theatrical and had been in several plays at MACC.  He was also somewhat of a clown, and loved to make people laugh.
    Surviving Damon is his partner of seven years, Dawn Welch of Ethel, and her two daughters whom he considered his own; Michelle Woodruff and Jessica Stoebe, as well as his mother Katherine Helms and siblings Debbie Elliott and David Wilson both of Virginia, and two grandsons, Justin and Christopher Woodruff, extended family and friends.
    Memorial services to honor Damon’s life will be held Monday, January 13, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly.  Visitation will be from 4:30 until time of service.
