The Macon Fire Department responded to a fire at 10:14pm on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 606 S. Rubey Street with a fire truck and 12 firefighters.
Upon arrival, fire had broken through the back of the house.
The fire was brought under control in approximately 35 minutes, according to Fire Chief Ross Dutton.
The owner of the house received what appeared to be minor injuries and was treated by Macon County Ambulance personnel.
The Missouri Division of Fire Safety assisted with the investigation.
“At this time the fire is under investigation,” said Dutton.
Assisting at the scene were the Macon Police Department, Macon Municipal Utilities and the Macon County Ambulance.
