  • Here are a couple things you missed at the Board of Public Works meeting.

  • The Macon Board of Public Works held its annual meeting on Monday, November 18. Here are a couple things you may have missed.
    • According the Macon Municipal Utilities General Manager Stephanie Wilson, for the revenue cycle of September 23 to October 21 there was in increase in expenses yet a decrease in usage.
    • There were also appointments made to the Macon County Economic Development Board. Jack Davison and Rusty Neill were appointed for serving the 2014-2015 term.
    • Updates regarding the wastewater treatment plant were also noted. A discussion occurred about a new dewatering system that will replace the current coil filters. To do this, a low-interest loan application was submitted to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
    The next regular meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 16, at the City Council's Chambers.
