  • On Sunday, November 11, at approximately 9 p.m., the Macon Police Department received a report of theft from a storage unit located on Enterprise Road. The victim reported several household items missing including furniture and electronics valued at approximately $750. The storage unit lock was found to be damaged.
    During the investigation, a Macon County Sheriff's Deputy assisted by locating a suspect. Upon locating the suspect, the deputy also determined the suspect was in possession of controlled substance. The suspect was transported to the Macon Police Department for questioning regarding the theft. Macon Police Officers then spoke with a suspect regarding the incident. As a result, police arrested a 39-year old white male of Macon for stealing. The suspect was transported to the Macon County Jail where the suspect was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
    Additional charges to include drug violations were also filed by the Macon County Sheriff's Office. Charges were later filed against Mark A Tipton of Macon with bond being set at $46,000.00 cash only. The suspect remains in custody at this time
