  • Student arrested for bomb threat

  • A Macon R-1 student was arrested yesterday for the bomb threat that occurred on Halloween. Get the details here.

  • At approximately 3:35 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, Macon High School Principal Jeff Haley was advised of a note alleging a bomb in the building. All buildings were evacuated and checked by local and state law enforcement. Based on the investigation of Macon R-1 School Resource Officer Adam Dawdy, Stephen M. Hill, 18, of Macon confessed and was transported to the Macon Police Department for processing. Hill was then take to the Macon County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. Formal charges were later filed against Hill for making a terrorist threat, which is a Class D Felony, with a bond set at $5,000 cash only.
