  • Halloween in Macon County

  • The Lions Club is having a Halloween parade on Tuesday, October 26 at 6:30 p.m. The parade will go around downtown square starting and ending at the Maples Repertory Theatre. The police will lead the parade with the Macon High School Band next, followed by the children in costume.
    All children attending get apples and candy bars. The costume contest will be inside the theatre following the parade. There will be three winners in each age group.
    The City of New Cambria is also hosting Halloween in the Park on Halloween from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. "We just want to make sure all of the kids stay safe," said Doris Kitchen. There will be food, games and of course be sure to wear your costumes!
