The Macon Health Care Center is having its first annual "Give to Troops" event, but it ends tomorrow, Friday, October 25, so don't miss out! This event is collecting items to send care packages to the 1438th Military Engineering Battalion for Veteran's Day. There is an array of items requested by the troops, but the most popular requests include lip balm, body wash, new DVDs, beef jerky, sunflower seeds, powder drink mix, iTunes cards, K-Cups for Keurig machines and of course, cards and letters.
"It is great to do anything for the soldiers," said Rachel Richardson. "So this is definitely important."
