  • Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Yount II, son of Ronald Yount I and Jo Ann (Sughru) McGill, departed this life in his home in Cairo, MO on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 losing his battle against adrenal cancer.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Karine Yount, a step-son, Carl Alan, and a grandson.  Ronnie is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, his children: Ronnie Yount of Macon, Kathy Yount of Clarence,  Joshua Yount and wife, Carmen, of Buchanan Dam, TX, Melissa Jackson of Moberly, Millena Sien of Macon, and Krystle Ryals of the home, his brother John Todd Yount and wife, Karen, of Baton Rouge, LA, his sister Jeanette Linebaugh and husband, Doug, of Columbia, ten grandchildren, numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces, and countless friends.
 He was born in Santa Ana, California on April 5, 1958. He and his family later moved to the Macon area where he was a graduate from Macon High School in 1976.  He resided in the Clarence, MO area for many years and then later moved to Cairo, MO.  Ronnie made a life working at Teter Landfill and Refuse (now Advanced Disposal) for many years.  He married his loving wife, Jo Ann, on March 15, 2013.  Ronnie may be described as stubborn, but also hard working.  He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and really enjoyed taking his grandkids fishing.  Ronnie was happiest around family and loved to BBQ.  He will always be loved and greatly missed by all that knew him.
                There will be a memorial service at the Richards Dale Cemetery in Bevier, MO on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1:30 PM.  There will be a dinner and silent auction benefit to help Ronnie’s family with the medical bills on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 5 PM at the Elks Lodge in Macon, MO.  Donations can be made at the benefit.  All family and friends are invited to attend the memorial and benefit.
