The Macon Tiger Marching Band continued their winning-ways at the Central Methodist University Marching Band Festival, earning first place trophies in the field competition and parade competition. The flags received the Most Outstanding Field Auxiliary Award for class 3A and also brought home a 2nd place trophy for the indoor flag competition. Although the indoor drumline did not place this week as they are still working to finish their show, the portion they are competing with is stronger and more refined according to the director of bands, Jamie Baker. In all, forty-nine bands participated in the festival, with eleven of those bands participating in the class 3A division. Next week the band will be participating at the MU Champion of Champions Marching Festival.
