Loretta Mae Mell, 96, of Macon, MO, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, at the Loch Haven Cottages in Macon.
Loretta was born on May 25, 1917, in Bevier, MO, the daughter of James C. and Ida (Novaria) Ronchetto. She was united in marriage to Elmer Quenton Mell on April 30, 1939, in Webster Groves, MO. Loretta attended Missouri Valley College and worked for the Missouri State Highway Patrol for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was active in the Altar Society and numerous Bridge Clubs. Loretta was a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Jack and Norman Ronchetto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 10:00 am, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery in Bevier. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 to 7 pm, with a vigil prayer service starting at 4:30 pm at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Memorials can be made to the Immaculate Conception Church.
