William “Bill” Reed Reynolds, 74, of Kansas City MO, formerly of Macon, MO, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at his home.
Bill was born on March 12, 1939, in New Bloomfield, MO the son of Reed Hamilton and Freddy Ann (Hensley) Reynolds. He was a devoted father and enjoyed watching his children grow and attending all of their sporting events. Bill had a long career with MoDot working in Jefferson City, Kansas City, and Macon, MO for a total of 43 years. He retired as Chief Right-of-Way Agent at the District 2 in Macon in 2001. He was married to Jo Ann Giandalia from 1979 to 2006. They had three children together. Bill was a member of the First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ in Macon and was an active member of the Macon County Cattlemen’s Association. His favorite past-times were working on his farm raising cattle and spending time with his family. Bill had recently moved to Kansas City, MO to be near his children in April of this year.
He is survived by three children, William Todd Reynolds and wife Betsy Powers Reynolds of Kansas City, MO, Joseph Lee Reynolds of Los Angeles, CA, and Lori Ann Reynolds of Kansas City, MO and one grandson, Kemper Reynolds.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Reed Reynolds, mother Freddy Forbis and her husband Raymond Forbis, and one step daughter, Heather Smith.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 10:30 am, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Macon, with Dr. David Leslie Officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Macon. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial can be made to the Macon County Cattlemen’s Scholarship Fund.
