  • The following Macon Moment in History was taken from the July 9, 1958 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
    The Jack & Jill Tot Shop advertised Trimfit Socks for 39 and 45 cents. The slogan read: “He’ll be a glad lad with socks just like Dad’s”
    David Collins of Macon was playing in the Missouri Men’s Amateur Golf  qualifying round.
    Mt. Zion News:
    Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stamp and Vesper Paul attended the wedding of Mr. Stamp’s cousin Miss Marjorie Anna Grugin.
    Miss Barbara June Burk of Callao spent Tuesday with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Montie Burk. Barbara June spent the afternoon at the Macon Swimming Pool.
    Marlin and Willard Coffman combined wheat last week.
