The following Macon Moment in History was taken from the July 3, 1958 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
A photo showed Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Cook and sons Billy and Bobby and neighbor children Nancy and Ricky Roberts driving into to Callao on an old “Miller” wagon that was manufactured in Macon around 1921.
The Bungalow Cafe advertised for patrons to come in and enjoy Sunday Dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. John H. Goodson of Oakhill Drive are parents of a daughter, Jane Ann, born at 12:40 p.m. at Samaritan Hospital on July 3, 1958. She weighed seven pounds, twelve ounces. The Goodson’s have a son, John Rogers who is 8. Mrs. Goodson is the former Janeva Rogers.
