Mrs. Webster White of Route 1, Anabel and Jane Means of 103 N. Rubey were the rural and town winners of the 47th week of the Chronicle-Herald’s Mystery Farm Contest. The mystery farm was the home of A.E. (Lonnie) McQuay northeast of Macon.
The weekly special at the Tastee-Freeze was a shake, malt or hamburger for 19 cents.
The featured business was Walter’s Service Garage located at 210 Oak Street in Macon. The business was started by Arnold Walter Sr. in 1952.
