On Wednesday, June 5th, the regular monthly meeting of the Macon Flaming Dames was held at Kirksville Thousand Hills State Park Dining Lodge, which included a lunch and conversation. Hostesses were Linda Belt, Dawn Moore and Carolyn Read.
Those who came a little early, got to see a special presentation of nature: at the window just in front of where they were sitting: six adult Canada geese and six half-grown babie. Just in front of the window they stopped momentarily, and then came ashore.
The program for the day was given by the Safe House personnel.
Hostesses for next month will be Helen Hoffman and the Queen Mother, Edith Hearrold. The July meeting will be on the second Wednesday, July 10, due to the 4th of July holiday. The meeting will be held at The Round House in Macon (behind the YMCA) at 11:30 a.m. A meal is being catered by C&R Market. Have your count in to the Queen Mother by July 3.
