    Rep. R.L. "Scoop" Usher announced that Governor Joseph L. Teasdale would be visiting Macon County in response to a proposed hazardous waste site in the county.
    Cynthia and Todd Davison, children of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Davidson were directors of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints production of "The Music Machine" featuring about 35 Macon youth.
    Jane and Larry Stacy of Bevier, members of the 205th Military Police Battalion, Missouri National Guard returned home from two weeks of annual summer training in Arkansas.
    Lilbern and Jane Davis were greeted as new members of the Long Branch Chapter NCHA.
