The 2012 Audit was reviewed on Tuesday evening during the normal Macon City Council meeting, and the city was dubbed all clear.
"Prior years we had material weaknesses, but this year you had enough improvements that there are only significant deficiencies," said Heidi Chick with Williams-Keepers, LLC. "We had full cooperation during the audit. Everything went very smoothly."
Chick went through the financial report, gave an overview of the audit process and who conducted the audit.
"Looking at the problems that we had when we first started compared to now are light years better," said Mayor Dale Bagley.
After the audit review, the council approved a request for permission to hold the annual fireworks display made by the Macon Health Care Center.
Additionally, the council voted that bids were ready to be taken for the storm water project phase three.
The Maffrey Street Project will start on Monday, June 10.
"I don't think people will be too thrilled while the project is occurring, but it is going to be a great project when it is done," said Bagley. "I look forward to seeing it."
Other dates to remember include June 7, which is the new completion date for the Roundhouse Project, and July 9, which is when the next City Council meeting will take place.
