Kayla Marie Grimshaw, 25 of Macon formerly of Salisbury died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the University Hospital in Columbia. She was born September 10, 1987 in Moberly the daughter of William “Bill” McCloud and Leann Durbin.
Kayla was a Salisbury High School graduate in 2006.
Kayla married Tim Grimshaw August of 2009 and he survives of the home along with their 3 year old daughter Riley.
Mrs. Grimshaw was an active servicewoman for the Army National Guard attaining the rank of Staff Sargeant. While in service she was deployed and honorably served in Operation Enduring Freedom-Kuwait (8/2012-5/2013).
Survivors include her husband and daughter, parents, Bill and Christy McCloud of Salisbury, grandmother, Ruth McCloud of Moberly, maternal grandparents, Jerry and Jackie Homan of Salisbury, two brothers, Frank and Josef McCloud of Salisbury, parent-in-laws, Jim and Liz Grimshaw of Macon, several aunts, uncles and cousins, brother-in-law, Jeremy Conwell of St. Martins, MO; and step-sister, Krystle Savage of Fortune, MO. Kayla was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Herschel McCloud.
Memorial funeral services will be held Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10:00a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury with inurnment to follow with full military honors in the Fitzgerald cemetery near Bynumville. Visitation is Sunday from 2 until 4:00p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Riley’s education fund.
