  • Obtaining a conceal carry permit can be quite the process. And for some in Audrain County, they will have to go through the process all over again.
Levi Hillard, 31, of Macon was an instructor for concealed carry classes who has been charged with three counts of felony forgery and three counts of being a training instructor providing false information regarding the performance of an applicant in a concealed training program.
"We have been investigating this case since February," said Audrain County Sheriff Miller. "Those individuals who took classes with Hillard will have to retake them and repay. Most of them were refunded from what I have gathered so they can seek classes elsewhere."
Hillard is currently free on $60,000 bond. His initial arraignment is scheduled at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at the Audrain County Courthouse.
