  • On Monday, May 13, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Macon Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Highway 63 near Briggs Drive. Read more here.

  • On Monday, May 13, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Macon Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Missouri Street (Highway 63) near Briggs Drive.  As a result of the investigation, officers determined the accident occurred as vehicle one, driven by Joseph LeDeay, was in the center lane traveling Southbound on U.S. 63 about to make a left hand turn. Vehicle two, driven by Alivia Herron, was stopped at the BP Gas Station driveway, increased speed, attempting to make a left hand turn Northbound onto U.S. 63 and was struck by LeDeay.  Herron was transported from the scene by Macon County Ambulance and transported to Macon Samaritan Hospital for treatment.  A passenger of vehicle one was transported for medical attention by personal vehicle.  No other injuries were reported at the scene.  Both vehicle were towed from the scene.  The Macon Police Department was assisted by Macon County Ambulance and Macon City Fire Department.
