  • On Wednesday, students taking agriculture courses at Macon R-1 High School spent their class time working to spruce up the Macon County Fairgrounds Park.
"We brought out students of all ages, from 8th grade through seniors," said ag instructor Lonnie Farrington.
Some of the projects had the students scraping fences, sanding and painting picnic tables.
"This is a way we can help out the park," said Farm Management class member and Macon FFA President Carson Miller.
"This is just our way of giving back to the community," said Farm Management class member Cole Birdsong.
