  • The following Macon Moments in History were taken from the April 18, 1980 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
    After seven months the Loch Haven Nursing Home Van Fund goal of $9,500 was completed by a donation from the Lion's Club Fish Fry. Shirley Bernhardt of Loch Haven was pictured with Lion's members Jerry Edwards and Jim Knowles. The Kiwanis Club donated for a new ramp for the van. Pictured from Loch Haven was Richard Waller with Kiwanis President Ed Tumlin.
    Diana Hicks was pictured with Moberly Junior College Lady Greyhound coach Dick Halterman. HIcks has accepted a scholarship to play basketball at the college.
    Corp. Richard Terrell, safety officer for the Missouri State Highway Patrol spoke to members of the Immaculate Conception Church Alter Society.
