Christina Spaid, 35, of Moberly, formerly of Macon was sentenced to the Department of Corrections Tuesday in Macon County Circuit Court by Judge Mike Greenwell.
Spaid was sentenced to seven years, each, on counts of felony endangering the welfare of a child, felony statutory sodomy and felony use of a child in sexual performance. The sentences are to run concurrent.
Spaid also received a sentence of one year in a county jail, concurrent, for a misdemeanor charge of unlawful sex with an animal.
In December 2010 Spaid and husband Billie J. Spaid were arrested after and investigation by the Macon Police Department and jailed on numerous violations regarding child welfare.
In July of 2011 those charges were dropped. At that time, Macon County Prosecuting Attorney Josh Meisner stated that the investigation of the couple was continuing and he hoped to refile charges at a later date. The charges were later refiled.
In October of 2012, Billie Spaid was sentenced to 25 months in federal prison involving his possession of child pornography.
According to court records, Billie Spaid is scheduled to appear for trial setting in Macon County Circuit Court on April 24, in front of Judge Rick Tucker. Spaid is charged with felony statutory rape, 1st degree felony sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old; 2nd degree felony statutory rape; felony enticement of a child (actor 21 years of age or older and child less than 15); felony statutory sodomy, 1st degree felony deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 and 1st degree felony endangering the welfare of a child.
