  • The following Macon Moments in History were taken from the April 16, 1980 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
    Bevier High School drama students were to perform the 3-act comedy “The Calamity Kids”. Performers were: Rachelle Hunter, Rebecca Hunter, Michele McPherson, Cherri Slagle, Darin Pagliai, Marcia Peter, Amanda Muck, Alan Sprague, Delbert Smith, Todd Isaacson and Jamie McKinstry.
    Mike Weisenborn will head the Macon Baseball Association. There are 24 teams that will compete in league games. The project for the year is to build a new scorer’s booth at the north diamond.
    The Macon High School Academic Bowl Team won their first meet with a score of 380-360 over Trenton. Team members are Captain, Jeff Briggs; Richie Bright, Steven Willis, Monte Schisler and Lori Briggs.
